Dear, brethren

Greetings to you in our covenant Lord’s name. Blessed Christmas and New year to you all. I always remember you in my prayers as well as family prayers and congregational prayers.

This month, I am quite busy for His kingdom, especially on Christmas holidays, my congregation wanted me to speak on Reformed Christian views on national spirit, politic, family and work. I explained national spirit came from tower of Babble, but on the day of Pentecost Christ unites us all into His covenant kingdom. For politic as our Belgic confession Art. 36, teaches, after the Fall government is instituted by God Himself, but Church and State are separate institutions, we have to know what is going on in the politic but we must busy in building His covenant Church for His glory, from 1962 to today that kind of speech is strictly prohibited and can go to jail, but now I can deliver to small audience like my congregation, but not very public yet. Family, covenant family, we all knows, the Lord gives us laws in the Bible, so no need to follow our national customs on marriage which are mostly demonic, e.g. if my wife did not give birth a son but only daughters I can divorce her and get new wife, that kind of law not applied to believer especially for reformed believers that kind of thing is simple abominable. I think my wives that came who were not my congregation but friends of the members love it, but many men do not like very much. What about in the State?

The last one is work, I explained from the Bible, Genesis, even before the Fall man works, and the Fall made work very hard. So, believers work as redeemed people, as new‐human race with new‐root, no more in Adam but in Christ our covenant Savior. So, for covenant believers work is no more curse though we feel a curse in creation, but in the heart no more curse, but providing covenant family and covenant church, it is a joy. We hope new‐government comes with new‐era so that covenant people will stand firm to support family as well as His church to gather His elect from through out our country. Those kind of teaching never reach here, but for your support and fellowship I learn from you and books, I can teach them now to my people. And I explained from our eschatology as well, here because of evangelicalism “rapture” can come any moment, so no point working hard, after rapture anti‐christ will take over all we work hard. I told them that is not the case, in gospel books, Jesus taught us that when he comes, two will be working in the field, so believers must work till He comes back, we must work hard.

And those teachings, I travelled to Irawaddy Divison, and taught to congregations there, Kyangin and Lemah. There also other people not our members came and listen, many love to study more, so they wanted to come our coming seminar which Elder David and Deacon Jonathan going to come and teach us, the Lord willing.

Every Tuesday, our classes continue, still some college students from my congregation attend and regular attendances of four young men also. Now the subject was “Reformed Hermeneutic.”

Out of this class, a man named Ah Lin with his wife now joined the church, made public confession after interviewed by consistory. We enjoyed very much, and this also can happen because your support and help to my ministry.

Every Sunday, I am preaching the book of Acts for morning service, now I reach chapter 10, first I translated from KJV into Burmese, and chose a text and expound the text. Evening services Hidelberg Catechism, this is the six time I preach, now I reach LD 20.

And every week put out Sunday Digest, it contains an article from “For They Truth’s Sake” by Prof. Hanko, now I am now reached “the Meaning of the Concept Organic.” This topic is quite something to translate because in Burmese language no direct word for “organic,” many Burmese dictionary say, “organic means food and crops that no comical material is used to produce,” so very interesting, how my people will react, next report I will explain. And I reached “Come, Ye Children,” by Gertrude Hoeksema, “Isaac gets a wife.” The book of Numbers I reach chapter 17.  I am teaching young ones of our church PR catechism books, older one I used Heidelberg Catechism by Rev. Wilbur Bruinsma, I translate it into Burmese and use for children. Younger one NT story by Rev. G. Vanden Berg, Last report I put the name wrongly.

Thank you very much for supporting my ministry till today, without your help I cannot do it. Please, continues to pray for me, so that the name of the Lord will be glorified here in this land. The Lord’s blessings to you all.

Your brother
