Dear, brethren

Greetings to you in our covenant Lord’s name. I rejoiced with you for the 100 years anniversary of your church. What a faithful testimony that the Lord showed us to be the Father of many generations of His covenant people! With that I pray earnestly we might also have that kind of covenant faithfulness in our land of heathenism.

This month starts raining season, heavy rain every day the Lord sends, but foolish unbelieving scientists say, nature makes it, La Nina. But we know the Lord does every thing that he pleases, because He is sovereign Lord.

Politic, the ones that lost in election, former leaders try so many way to have upheavals in country so that military coup again, the only way remaining for them to have power back. But the Lord does not allow whatsoever to happen that one. Mainly those people want to make a case in religious clashes, so they use extreme-Buddhist monks and their sect, first to Muslims, then Christians. One of our country’s state called, Kaya, there are so many Anglican Church, and the state was rural area, churches owns large land, so one of that kind of Church yard, extreme Buddhist monk and his followers went in and built a small pagoda, saying that in monk’s dream their god told him to do that. Just to insult Christians so that they angry and fight for the church building area. We were quite intense when we heard the news, but the Christians in those area knew it that was the trap, so, their Rev. told the people, not to do anything and give that area to the Buddhist monk, Rev. called it donation. So, no religious clash, rather many sincere Buddhists felt so ashamed, they apologized to Christianity, and many monks now no more powerful as last governments. Now, the new government also knew that that is not right, so they asked the Church to sue them in the court, that means this new government treats all religions equal as much as possible. Now, those Buddhist extremists, try to insult again to Muslims, so far, not successful, it seems the Lord is giving the people of this country, long suffering so that a government that rules with justice really appears, for His covenant people, it is according to His providence care, not common grace whatsoever.

Now the new government is working toward to have peace in the country and no more rebel groups, we had the rebel group since 1949, some of scholars say that, it is the longest civil-war in world history. For that army has always excuses why he hold onto power, without army rebels will took over the country, that is always their excuses which is not true. So, now the government wants peace-talk with all the rebel groups, but not the army, because with defense-budget all the generals controls every area of live in the country. We had over 100 rebels groups. But some of them are drug-dealers, rebelling is just for excuses. But, all the rebel groups want to have peace with new-leader, Lady Aung San Su Kyi. So, it is so interesting to see, the drama of our country’s political situation which our Covenant Lord is in control. If, the actual peace can get, then all the army leaders must go back to their barracks, no more in civil ruling power which army chief so much crave. That is right now, the situations, I will report every new developments each-month.

I liked to report you that, my translation of KJV into Burmese language, the whole NT books finished. Thank you very much for your prayer and support, without them I could not finish like this. The same time I give thanks to our covenant Lord to have that privilege of translating His Word to our language. Now I finished some of the OT books as well, so in near future, the Lord willing, we will have the whole KJV in Burmese language, please continue to pray for me to finish this important part of serving Him in His Church. The Old Burmese translation was now about 200 years old, and translated by Arminian persuasion, a Baptist missionary from US. So, after 200 years, the Burmese speaking Christian almost lost their identity for this old Bible, very much emotional people, only talk about how I feel, all the so-called evangelical songs that sing in many churches also the same feel-good songs. With this new translation our people can have more solid knowledge from His word. Now, I am re-editing the NT books again, so that the translation will be consisted.

A few visitors we had this month, from Karen Baptist Church, I hope they will continue to worship with us and see the truth.

Every Sunday, morning preached from last chapters of Acts, and at the month of June I will start preaching from various texts of NT. Evening services Hidelberg Catechism, this is the six time I preach, now I reach LD 33.

And every week put out Sunday Digest, but not too many in this month, April, due to my travel, it contains an article from “For They Truth’s Sake” by Prof. Hanko, now I reached to “The Schism of 1953: Preliminary History.” And an article myself write to explain some of reformed views into our practical life, such as how we should see army from the Bible, how to tell about our Lord to others, since the Bible says all know God, Jn 1;9, Rom 1;21.

And I reached “Come, Ye Children,” by Gertrude Hoeksema, “Moses Runs Away to the Desert.” I am teaching young ones of our church PR catechism books. Younger one NT story by Rev. G. Vanden Berg, Older youth, this month I start to translate “Essentials of Reformed Doctrine, A Guide in Catechetical Instruction by Rev. Herman Hoeksema, Revised by Prof. Herman Hanko,” now from these lessons, young people had a new experience of writing their view from Bible texts and confessions, every week I read their answer and re discuss with them again of their answer, we enjoy very much, this is the first time in my church to use that lessons.
